Recently, Mercer Consulting has ranked the cities with the best and quality of life and infrastructure. Here are the 2009 statistics:

Zurich, Switzerland comes in second.

Geneva, Switzerland takes bronze.

Toronto is 15th in terms of quality of life and 18th in terms of infrastructure.

Singapore is first in best infrastructure and in Asia-Pacific.
Munich, Germany takes silver and has the highest infrastructure rank in Europe.
Copenhagen, Denmark is third.

The highest ranking city in the Americas is Vancouver, Canada in both lists. (4th in quality of life and 6th in infrastructure).

In the Middle East, Dubai, U.A.E. has the highest rank in both lists. (77th in quality of life and 35th in infrastructure).

Port Louis, Mauritius has the highest rank in Africa. (82nd in quality of life and 92nd in infrastructure).

Auckland, New Zealand has the highest rank in quality of life in Asia-Pacific: 4th(tied with Vancouver).
Overall, I think the statistics are fairly reasonable.
