Top 10 Public Transit Systems

The top 10 public transit systems in the world according to askmen.com.

10th Copenhagen Metro
9th Berlin U-bahn

8th Hong Kong MTR
One of only two transit systems I've been on on this list. I swear, this metro is way better than the TTC. Torontonian transit is soooo cheap.

7th New York Subway
The other transit system I've been on. If you ask me, I rather bump HK to 7th and NYC to 8th since it's not as clean.

6th Paris Metro

5th Seoul Metro

4th London Underground
The second runner-up is...

the Taipei Metro!
The runner-up is..........

the Moscow Metro!!

And when it comes to the best public transit system in the world, the winner is.................

the TOKYO METRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
love the bullet design!

An Enjoyable Afternoon at the Hispanic Fiesta

During the weekend, me and my parents went to the 28th Hispanic fiesta at North York Centre. The whole fiesta was held there.

There were a lot of people walking and buying things at the stalls. Most of them were selling food and souvenirs from Latin America. At a particular stall. the cultural music from a panpipe musician was really interesting. There were a lot of people crowded around him. Finally, we decided to buy a pan pipe. It is small but it sounds unique and great.

We soon came across a performance on stage. There was a large audience near the stage and the background. Then came out the dancers showing off their colors and beauty. There were dances from Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and Panama. The Bolivian dance was the most colorful while the Panama dance was the most elegant. Each dance routine was good and we all really enjoyed it. We took a lot of shots of the dancing performance.

After the dances, we continued walking. Soon after, we spotted a stall selling churros. There was a long line-up to try the Mexican food. Not knowing what it was, we tried 2 churros. One was plain, one was chocolate glazed. It was shaped like a banana and fried in oil. It looked like a jumbo straw with flour and sugar. I thought it was a salty and soft snack, but actually it was sweet and crunchy.

Finally, we left the fiesta and went to the North York shopping Centre. The Loblaws supermarket was very big. The fruits on display were very colorful.

Overall, it was a very good afternoon.

Very unique buildings worth seeing.

Bahá'í House of Worship or the Lotus Temple in New Delhi, the capital of India. Imagine if the building was a real lotus flower!

Beijing National Stadium or the Bird's Nest was the world stage of the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Beijing, China. if it was a real bird's nest....

Guggenheim museum Bilbao in Bilbao, Spain. Looks like a very futuristic cruise ship to me.

Grand Lisboa, a casino, hotel and restaurant building in Macau, China. The city is famous for casinos like this one!

The Ferdinand Cheval in Hauterives, France. This building is made by only one man (I don't believe that).

Waldspirale building in Darmstadt building. That would be such a cool resident complex to live in!!!

Engrish

Found in East Asian countries, spelling and pronouncing English is difficult.

Painapple? Maybe when you eat the candy, it's painful for you.

How can you ''brake'' a wall. You'll be done in an emergency with that sign there.

That's disgusting. No one wants to see a decayed, shriveled up foot.
